    February 18, 2013

Min-Aqua Bats current show director, Andrew Donahoe, made the trek to Green Bay, WI this past weekend to the annual Think Tank Waterski Conference where the state seeding meeting was held. The seeding meeting was not until Sunday so Andrew took in some clinics and caught up with other show skiers and former Min-Aqua Bats such as Tristan Hansen.

This year WI State will be split into 3 divisions instead of 2. The Min-Aqua Bats will be competing in Division 3 along with the Chain Skiers, River City, the Kwahamots, the Aqua Devils, Twin Bridge, the Aqua Skiers, the Chain Skimmers and Central, WI. To split the divisions from 2 to 3 a 3-year average of scores was utilized.

After gathering all the paperwork and submitting something akin to an intent to participate Andrew got the great honor of choosing our time slot last (our three year average has a 0 from 2010). With nothing to really choose the Min-Aqua Bats "chose" the 7am Friday morning time slot, first off the dock and we will be proud of it. Going early can have its own benefits, one primarily being the pristine water. But it is 12 hours before the standard show time.

So there it is ladies and gentlemen. Friday, July 19th 2013 at 7am. Block out your calendars and come cheer on the Min-Aqua Bats at the WI State tournament. The site is near Wisconsin Rapids and is hosted at South Wood County Park, Lake Wazeecha: Red Beach.
